Overview

At KPMG in Canada, you'll be part of a diverse and dedicated team of problem solvers who turn insight into opportunity for clients and communities worldwide. As a lead member, you'll work closely with KPMG Partners on tax planning initiatives and requirements, leveraging your organizational skills to direct the work of junior staff and review their work for accuracy and completeness.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead client engagements and work closely with a Partner as a senior team member on tax planning work for clients, including helping business owners with succession planning, estate planning, sale of their business, and structuring the purchase of new businesses.
  • Plan and organize teams for the preparation of annual tax returns and conduct and present tax research.
  • Review the work of junior staff for accuracy and completeness.
  • Become part of the tax engagement team in servicing the planning and compliance needs of clients.
  • Provide ongoing support and mentoring for the professional development of staff.
  • Work with other office members in attracting new work to the firm.
Requirements
  • Minimum 3 years specializing in tax in a public accounting firm.
  • Professional accounting designation, CPA.
  • Currently completing or willing to register for the CPA In-Depth tax course.
  • Excellent client service skills with the ability to understand the clients business.
  • Emphasizes on quality and adds value in their client offerings and services.
  • Gives others the opportunity to take on new tasks and responsibilities and instill enthusiasm in others to achieve desired results.
