LifeLabs Medical Laboratory Services is in search of a Hematology Laboratory Specialist to become a part of our dedicated team.

Our Hematology Laboratory Specialists deliver precise and prompt diagnostic specimen analysis and reporting. By ensuring accuracy, quality, and efficiency in test results, you will play a vital role in patient care and contribute to improved health outcomes. This position is ideal for a meticulous, hands-on professional who excels in a dynamic, team-oriented setting.

This is a Full-Time position with evening shifts and rotational Saturdays based on operational requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Executing a diverse array of diagnostic and interpretive specimen analyses.
  2. Conducting, interpreting, and disseminating results while safeguarding patient confidentiality.
  3. Recognizing incidents and discrepancies, engaging in the formulation of effective corrective measures, escalating issues as necessary, and promoting continuous enhancement.
  4. Aiding in the assessment and integration of innovative technologies.
  5. Contributing to problem-solving in workflow and organizational processes.

LifeLabs facilities are recognized as educational laboratories, providing opportunities to share expertise in a collaborative atmosphere. You will have access to 24-hour medical support through our Medical Science team and Medical Library, along with the chance to mentor college and university student placements.

LifeLabs seeks individuals who can work effectively in a fast-paced team environment while upholding our standards of safety, accuracy, and efficiency. Do you possess:

  1. A college diploma or university degree in Medical Laboratory Science, or equivalent education and/or experience.
  2. Registration with CMLTO.
  3. Strong communication skills to engage with a diverse range of individuals.
  4. Proficient computer skills and knowledge.
  5. Problem-solving abilities, including the capacity to identify and address issues.
  6. A commitment to maintaining the highest standards of safety, patient privacy, and confidentiality.

Compensation Range: $44.36

The compensation range has been established; however, the final salary will be determined based on experience, educational background, market conditions, and internal equity.
