Key Responsibilities- Security Patrols: Conduct proactive and reactive security patrols to deter and detect potential security threats.
- Incident Response: Respond promptly and effectively to security incidents, including medical emergencies and suspicious activities.
- Report Writing: Prepare accurate and detailed reports of security incidents and activities.
- Investigations: Conduct thorough investigations of security incidents and provide recommendations for improvement.
- De-escalation Techniques: Use effective de-escalation techniques to resolve conflicts and ensure a safe and secure environment.
- Access Control: Monitor and control access to client properties, including the issuance of visitor passes and the management of access control systems.
- Surveillance Monitoring: Monitor CCTV systems and other surveillance equipment to detect and respond to security threats.
- Communication: Liaise with emergency responders, clients, and Paladin Security management to ensure effective communication and response to security incidents.
- Experience: At least 1 year of security experience, preferably in a healthcare or mental health setting.
- Licenses and Certifications: Valid Ontario Security Guard License, First Aid & CPR - Level C certification, and completion of the Management of Aggressive Behaviour (MOAB) and Use of Force (UoF) certification programs.
- Skills: Ability to work in a fast-paced and flexible environment, maintain professionalism, and think critically in high-pressure situations.
