T-Net British Columbia is seeking an experienced Android Developer to join our Native Mobile Development Team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining software using Kotlin and Java, creating automated unit tests, and ensuring quality in your code.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with Designers, Product Managers, and your Development Team to deliver compelling user-facing products and services.
  • Develop and maintain software using Kotlin and Java.
  • Create automated unit tests and ensure quality in your code.
  • Experience working with Agile software development methodologies like Scrum.
  • Experience working directly with clients and stakeholders.
  • Ability to handle working on multiple projects or tasks and keep them all under control.
  • Passionate about technology and using it to help solve business issues.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience in Android development.
  • Developing and maintaining software using Kotlin and Java.
  • Creating automated unit tests and ensuring quality in your code.
  • Experience with Jetpack libraries.
  • Experience developing and successfully launching native Android apps to Google Play.
  • You understand the ins and outs of fragments, animation, threading, and the latest Android SDKs.
  • Teamwork and experience performing peer code review.

Nice to Have:

  • Exposure to Backbase.
  • Reactive programming experience with RxJava.
  • Experience working with REST APIs.
  • Agile methodology experience, such as Scrum and Kanban.

Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field (or equivalent).
