Job Title: Senior Android Software Engineer

At Autodesk, we are committed to building innovative tools for professionals who shape the world around us. As a Senior Android Software Engineer, you will play a key role in developing the next generation of AutoCAD mobile applications.

Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement high-quality Android applications using Java or Kotlin
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver features and enhancements
  • Ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of the application
  • Identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs
  • Help maintain code quality, organization, and automation
  • Push the envelope on cutting-edge mobile technologies and front-end engineering best practices
Requirements:
  • B.S. or M.S. degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
  • 3+ years of professional software development experience
  • Proficiency in Java or Kotlin
  • Familiarity with Android libraries, services, and SDKs
  • Familiarity with performance tuning, threading, and offline storage
  • Understanding of UX/UI standards
  • Solid understanding of the Android mobile app development cycle
  • Experience with developing cross-platform software components
  • Experience with Test Driven Development and continuous delivery
  • Working knowledge of the general mobile landscape, architectures, trends, and emerging technologies
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Published Android apps in the Google Play store
  • Optimization and benchmarking skills
  • Familiarity with CAD software (Architectural, Mechanical, or Civil design)
  • ML/AI operations experience
  • Software development experience in a web environment
  • Experience building iOS apps

We offer a competitive compensation package, including a starting base salary between $98,600 and $144,650, annual cash bonuses, commissions for sales roles, stock grants, and a comprehensive benefits package.
