Job Title: Retail Store Supervisor

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Retail Store Supervisor to join our team at Ontario inc. As a Retail Store Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our retail store, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assign sales workers to duties and ensure that they are working efficiently
  • Hire and train or arrange for training of staff to ensure they have the necessary skills to perform their job duties
  • Authorize payments by cheque and ensure that all financial transactions are accurate and up-to-date
  • Order merchandise and ensure that it is delivered to the store in a timely manner
  • Authorize return of merchandise and ensure that all returns are processed efficiently
  • Establish work schedules and ensure that all employees are aware of their duties and responsibilities
  • Sell merchandise and ensure that all sales are processed accurately and efficiently
  • Prepare reports on sales volumes, merchandising and personnel matters and present them to management
  • Resolve issues that may arise, including customer requests, complaints and supply shortages
  • Organize and maintain inventory and ensure that it is accurate and up-to-date
  • Supervise and co-ordinate activities of workers and ensure that they are working efficiently
Requirements:
  • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a retail environment
  • Permanent employment
  • English as the primary language of work
  • 35 to 40 hours per week
Work Environment:

The work environment is fast-paced and requires attention to detail. The Retail Store Supervisor will be required to stand for extended periods, walk, and sit. The ability to bend, crouch, and kneel is also required.
