Location: Cambridge, ON
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8 am to 5 pm with occasional evenings around month-end.
Compensation: $45,000-$50,000 per year
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure timely and precise bi-weekly payroll processing for hourly, salaried, and commission-based employees across multiple companies, managing approximately 500 personnel.
- Administer month-end commissions and bonuses for commissioned employees and managerial staff.
- Oversee and document bi-monthly draws for all sales personnel.
- Track and manage vacation payouts and entitlements.
- Process employee Time & Attendance data from the timekeeping system and resolve discrepancies.
- Maintain daily attendance records for hourly employees, ensuring accurate punch-in and punch-out times.
- Calculate and reconcile flat rate hours for technicians.
- Provide administrative assistance to employees regarding payroll inquiries, vacation, and related matters.
- Collaborate closely with the HR Manager to fulfill payroll obligations.
- Execute all year-end tasks and reconciliations, including T4 processing.
- Maintain comprehensive spreadsheets for tracking absences and vacation time.
Qualifications:
- A degree or diploma in Business or Communications is advantageous.
- PCP designation is considered a plus.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in payroll administration is required.
- Familiarity with draw systems is beneficial.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and video conferencing tools.
- Experience in the automotive sector is a valuable asset.
- Exhibit a high level of professionalism and confidentiality.
- Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
- A positive attitude and adaptability to take on various roles.
- Demonstrated self-initiative and a proactive approach.
