Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Research Associate II to join our Radiation Medicine Program. The successful candidate will have a strong background in radiation oncology and experience in scientific research. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the advancement of adaptive radiation research priorities.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform real-time contouring for patients receiving adaptive radiation treatment with replanning under the direct supervision of a radiation oncologist.
- Utilize expert technical knowledge of relevant imaging and radiation treatment software and systems.
- Work with RMP investigators on all stages of research studies with minimal supervision.
- Design projects for collaborative research and set research goals and objectives.
- Prepare papers for publication and conduct regular reviews of relevant literature.
- Critically appraise manuscripts and proposals of investigators.
- Provide direct supervision for assigned personnel, as required.
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Health Science or a related field. PhD and/or MD preferred.
- Extensive understanding of radiation oncology, including adaptive radiotherapy, required.
- At least 7 years of related experience in oncology research.
- Advanced research knowledge and skills to perform highly complex procedures involving all phases of research, required.
- Excellent communication skills, including experience in scientific writing for publication.
- Ability to work well with people from different disciplines and with varying levels of technical expertise.
- Demonstrated leadership capacity in a research setting.
