Job Title: Research Associate II
Job Summary:
The University Health Network is seeking a highly skilled Research Associate II to join our Radiation Medicine Program. As a key member of our research team, you will be responsible for advancing adaptive radiation research priorities under the direction of the RMP Director of research.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform real-time contouring for patients receiving adaptive radiation treatment with replanning
- Utilize expert technical knowledge of relevant imaging and radiation treatment software and systems
- Work with RMP investigators on all stages of research studies with minimal supervision
- Project design for collaborative projects and sets research goals and objectives
- Prepare papers for publications
- Conduct regular reviews of relevant literature
- Critically appraise manuscripts and proposals of investigators
- Provide direct supervision for assigned personnel, as required
Qualifications:
- At minimum, Masters Degree in Health Science or related field. PhD and/or MD preferred.
- Extensive understanding of radiation oncology, including adaptive radiotherapy, required
- At minimum, 7 years of related experience in oncology research
- Advanced research knowledge and skills to perform highly complex procedures involving all phases of research, required
- Excellent communication skills, including experience in scientific writing for publication
- Works well with people from different disciplines and with varying levels of technical expertise
- Demonstrated leadership capacity in a research setting
