Job Title: Research Associate II
Job Summary:
The University Health Network is seeking a highly skilled Research Associate II to join our Radiation Medicine Program. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for performing real-time contouring for patients receiving adaptive radiation treatment with replanning, utilizing expert technical knowledge of relevant imaging and radiation treatment software and systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Under the direct supervision of a radiation oncologist, performs real-time contouring for patients receiving adaptive radiation treatment with replanning.
- Utilizes expert technical knowledge of relevant imaging and radiation treatment software and systems.
- Works with RMP investigators on all stages of research studies with minimal supervision.
- Project design for collaborative projects and sets research goals and objectives.
- Prepares papers for publications.
- Conducts regular reviews of relevant literature.
- Critically appraises manuscripts and proposals of investigators.
- Provides direct supervision for assigned personnel, as required.
Qualifications:
- At minimum, Masters Degree in Health Science or related field. PhD and/or MD preferred.
- Extensive understanding of radiation oncology, including adaptive radiotherapy, required.
- At minimum, 7 years of related experience in oncology research.
- Advanced research knowledge and skills to perform highly complex procedures involving all phases of research, required.
- Excellent communication skills, including experience in scientific writing for publication.
- Works well with people from different disciplines and with varying levels of technical expertise.
- Demonstrated leadership capacity in a research setting.
