Job Title: Research Associate II

Job Summary:

The University Health Network is seeking a highly skilled Research Associate II to join our Radiation Medicine Program. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for performing real-time contouring for patients receiving adaptive radiation treatment with replanning, utilizing expert technical knowledge of relevant imaging and radiation treatment software and systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Under the direct supervision of a radiation oncologist, performs real-time contouring for patients receiving adaptive radiation treatment with replanning.
  • Utilizes expert technical knowledge of relevant imaging and radiation treatment software and systems.
  • Works with RMP investigators on all stages of research studies with minimal supervision.
  • Project design for collaborative projects and sets research goals and objectives.
  • Prepares papers for publications.
  • Conducts regular reviews of relevant literature.
  • Critically appraises manuscripts and proposals of investigators.
  • Provides direct supervision for assigned personnel, as required.

Qualifications:

  • At minimum, Masters Degree in Health Science or related field. PhD and/or MD preferred.
  • Extensive understanding of radiation oncology, including adaptive radiotherapy, required.
  • At minimum, 7 years of related experience in oncology research.
  • Advanced research knowledge and skills to perform highly complex procedures involving all phases of research, required.
  • Excellent communication skills, including experience in scientific writing for publication.
  • Works well with people from different disciplines and with varying levels of technical expertise.
  • Demonstrated leadership capacity in a research setting.
