Job Title: Home Support Worker

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Home Support Worker to join our team at D Dhillon. As a Home Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to our clients in the comfort of their own homes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Administer bedside and personal care to clients, ensuring their dignity and well-being are maintained at all times.
  • Assist clients with bathing, dressing, and other aspects of personal hygiene, promoting independence and confidence.
  • Prepare and serve nutritious meals, taking into account clients' dietary needs and preferences.
  • Assist with light housekeeping and cleaning duties, maintaining a safe and healthy environment for clients.
  • Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, engaging in activities that promote social interaction and mental stimulation.
  • Administer medications and assist with medical procedures, following established protocols and guidelines.
  • Monitor clients' progress, reporting any changes or concerns to the care team.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as nursing or social work.
  • 1-6 months of experience in a care-related role, preferably in a home support setting.
  • First Aid Certificate and Personal Support Worker Certificate.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, communicating effectively with clients, families, and colleagues.
  • Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills, with a patient and empathetic approach.
