About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Home Support Worker to join our team at D Dhillon. As a Home Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to our clients in their own homes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer bedside and personal care to clients, ensuring their dignity and comfort at all times.
  • Assist clients with bathing, dressing, and other aspects of personal hygiene, promoting independence and confidence.
  • Prepare and serve nutritious meals, taking into account clients' dietary needs and preferences.
  • Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties, maintaining a safe and healthy environment for clients.
  • Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, engaging in activities that promote social interaction and mental stimulation.
  • Assist clients with medication management, ensuring accurate administration and adherence to treatment plans.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement personalized care plans, addressing clients' physical, emotional, and social needs.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as nursing or social work.
  • 1-6 months of experience in a care-related role, with a strong understanding of client-centered care principles.
  • First Aid Certificate and Personal Support Worker Certificate, with a commitment to ongoing professional development.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, families, and healthcare teams.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible and adaptable approach to meet the changing needs of clients.
