Retail Store Manager

We are seeking an experienced Assistant Store Manager to join our team at Food Basics. As a key member of our store management team, you will be responsible for assisting the Store Manager in providing day-to-day management of the store, including growing sales, staffing, merchandising, expense control, and delivering a superior shopping experience for our customers.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in Achieving Sales and Profit Goals: Work with the Store Manager to achieve or exceed weekly, period, and fiscal year store goals and objectives, including sales, profit, margin targets, shrink targets, and labor targets.
- Implement Merchandising Programs: Collaborate with the Store Manager to implement various merchandising programs, procedures, and processes designed to maximize operational efficiencies and profitability of the store.
- Maintain Store Safety and Compliance: Ensure the store is maintained in accordance with all health and safety regulations as established by the company and regulatory authorities.
- Lead and Develop Staff: Provide leadership by hiring, training, directing, and developing a staff that is customer-focused.
- Monitor Competitive Activity: Maintain a pulse on competitive activity in the local market area and provide recommendations to Operations to overcome competitive disadvantages.
- Enhance Community Involvement: Actively participate in store-based initiatives designed to enhance community involvement and enhance the store's image as a supporter of community activities.
- Requirements: 3 to 5 years of progressive management experience, intermediate Microsoft Office skills, and strong time management skills.
