About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Retail Store Supervisor to join our team at ESSENTIAL FAMILY CONVENIENCE. As a key member of our retail team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our store, ensuring that our customers receive exceptional service and that our store runs smoothly and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and Manage Staff
    • Lead and motivate a team of sales associates to achieve sales goals and provide excellent customer service.
    • Conduct performance evaluations and provide coaching and training to staff members.
  • Operational Management
    • Oversee the daily operations of the store, including opening and closing procedures, inventory management, and cash handling.
    • Ensure that the store is maintained in a clean and organized manner, and that all equipment and fixtures are in good working order.
  • Sales and Customer Service
    • Meet or exceed sales targets by providing excellent customer service and promoting products to customers.
    • Respond to customer complaints and resolve issues in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Inventory and Merchandising
    • Manage inventory levels and ensure that stock is accurately counted and recorded.
    • Implement visual merchandising displays and maintain a visually appealing store environment.
  • Reporting and Administration
    • Prepare and submit accurate and timely reports on sales, inventory, and other key performance indicators.
    • Manage store budgets and ensure that expenses are within approved limits.
Requirements
  • Education
    • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Experience
    • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a retail management role
  • Work Setting
    • Retail business environment
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities
    • Fast-paced environment with tight deadlines
    • Ability to work under pressure and handle heavy loads
    • Manual dexterity and attention to detail required
    • Combination of sitting, standing, and walking required
