Director Sales Operations

At Dematic Canada, we are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Sales Director to lead our sales team and drive revenue growth across the region. The Sales Director will be responsible for developing and executing the sales strategy, managing key customer relationships, and leading a high-performing sales team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy that aligns with Dematic Canada's business goals and objectives.
  • Drive revenue growth by identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, expanding existing customer accounts, and consistently meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Lead, mentor, and motivate the sales team to achieve individual and collective sales goals.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, understanding their needs and ensuring their satisfaction with Dematic Canada's solutions and services.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, market dynamics, and competitor activities to identify opportunities and threats, adjusting the sales strategy accordingly.
  • Continuously improve the sales process, including lead generation, qualification, proposal development, and contract negotiation.
  • Manage the sales budget effectively, allocating resources to maximize ROI and achieve business objectives.
  • Collaborate with other departments, including marketing, engineering, and project management, to ensure a seamless customer experience and successful project execution.
  • Provide regular sales reports and forecasts to senior management, highlighting key performance metrics and insights.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • Proven track record of at least 7-10 years in B2B sales, with a strong background in complex solution selling, preferably in the supply chain and logistics industry.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a leadership role, managing and developing high-performance sales teams.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to travel as needed to meet with customers and support the sales team.
  • Knowledge of automation, robotics, and material handling systems is a plus.
