The Scheduler will work closely with various departments, including operations, training, and human resources, to facilitate smooth operations.

Work Schedule

The work schedule for this role is structured from Sunday to Thursday, comprising 8-hour shifts, with specific times to be determined.

Key Responsibilities

  • Allocate personnel to routes and equipment while planning work shifts effectively.
  • Evaluate scheduling data to generate necessary reports and assist the Operations Centre Manager.
  • Maintain accurate records using the HASTUS scheduling system.
  • Collaborate with the Operations Management Team to address routing challenges.
  • Organize bus schedules to support daily operations and additional services as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant policies and regulations in service delivery.
  • Keep up-to-date manual and digital records, files, and reports related to scheduling.
  • Assess scheduled requests, personnel availability, and other relevant data to define scheduling parameters.
  • Complete all scheduling tasks efficiently and cost-effectively.
  • Adapt existing schedules to account for peak travel times, holidays, special events, and construction, focusing on time and cost efficiency.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of three years of experience in customer service, logistics, data entry, scheduling, records management, ERP, or database management.
  • A university or college diploma is preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with transportation scheduling software or ERP systems is essential.
  • Familiarity with HASTUS is an advantage.
  • Experience in dispatching is beneficial.
