Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Medical Administrative Assistant II to join our team at the University Health Network's Krembil Brain Institute. As a key member of our clinical operations team, you will provide secretarial and clerical support to medical personnel, utilizing your knowledge of medical terminology and health system navigation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date appointment schedules and calendars for various levels of personnel.
  • Provide word processing and typing services to facilitate the production of complex documents and materials.
  • Assist with reception duties, utilizing your knowledge of medical terminology to provide efficient and effective support.
  • Organize and maintain confidential electronic and paper filing systems.
  • Arrange meetings and events, and perform billing and budgetary functions for multiple cost centers.
  • Provide functional supervision and leadership to lower classified clerical positions.
Requirements
  • Completion of a recognized post-secondary medical office administration program at the diploma level or equivalent.
  • Three years of related medical administrative support experience.
  • Excellent organizational, time management, and prioritization skills.
  • Excellent word-processing and typing skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent knowledge of medical terminology and health care practices.
