Job Summary

We are seeking a driven and results-oriented Insurance Broker to join our National Home and Auto Sales Team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for quoting and selling personal insurance products, developing relationships with prospects, and identifying opportunities to sell additional lines of business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Quoting and selling personal insurance products to new and existing clients, establishing strong relationships and providing exceptional customer service.
  • Identifying opportunities to sell additional lines of business and presenting offers to clients.
  • Creating a trusting environment that fosters referrals, new sales opportunities, and retention of existing business.
  • Actively participating in the sales team and independently contributing to overall business improvement.
  • Resolving customer inquiries and ensuring minimal customer effort.
  • Accurately processing account changes, maintaining customer documentation, and preparing correspondence.
  • Tackling complex insurance-related cases and utilizing available resources for full resolution.
  • Maintaining an accurate log of quotes completed, sales completed, and other measurements for monthly reporting requirements.
  • Staying up-to-date on company underwriting guidelines and changing markets.

Requirements

  • A RIBO and/or AIC license.
  • Other national licensing considered an asset.
  • A minimum of 2 years' experience in personal lines, preferably with automobile and property insurance policies.
  • Exceptional communication skills and ability to deal effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to handle customer issues positively.
  • Superior time management and organizational skills to handle competing priorities.
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite applications.
  • Bilingualism considered an asset (French/English).
