Job Overview:
Lehigh Hanson stands as a prominent supplier in North America for cement, aggregates, ready-mix concrete, and asphalt. With numerous facilities and a dedicated workforce across the United States and Canada, we are part of the Heidelberg Cement Group, a global leader in building materials.
Our organization is pioneering North America's first comprehensive carbon capture, utilization, and storage (CCUS) solution for the cement sector. This innovative project at our Edmonton facility aims to capture up to one million tonnes of carbon dioxide (CO2), which will be transported and securely stored in deep saline formations. The initiative includes a 120MW combined heat and power facility that will generate the necessary heat for the process while also producing sufficient electricity for both the new and existing plant, contributing to the grid with low-emission energy.
We are currently seeking a CCUS Project Manager to oversee this transformative facility.
Key Responsibilities:

- Collaborate with the Project Director and workstream Managers to provide strategic direction and engage with stakeholders overseeing the project.

- A post-secondary degree in engineering, construction management, or a related field.
- Proven track record of successfully delivering complex projects in Canada, particularly in energy infrastructure.
- Familiarity with EPCs or other large contract execution models is advantageous.
- Experience in leading, motivating, and mentoring team members.
- Strong skills in performance management, goal setting, and providing constructive feedback.
- Excellent communication abilities, both internally and externally.
- Capable of managing priorities in a dynamic and complex environment.
- Demonstrated ability to translate key decisions into financial implications and trade-offs.
- Proficient in cost management, project management, and scheduling software.
- Ability to quickly analyze schedules and estimates to identify errors and opportunities.
Benefits:
- Competitive base salary along with participation in our annual incentive plan.
- A highly competitive benefits program.
- Pension retirement savings plan with automatic company contributions and matching options.
- Our pre-employment process includes reference checks, medical screenings, criminal record checks, and drivers abstract checks.
