Context:

Sanctus Solutions is currently expanding its team in preparation to submit a comprehensive proposal for a large, three-year project in response to a Request for Proposal (RFP). This initiative represents a significant opportunity, and we are seeking highly qualified professionals to join our team. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in the education or public sector, as these areas are critical to the success of the project. Candidates should be comfortable with their resumes being shared with the client as part of the proposal submission process.

Summary

As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for managing and driving client projects to successful completion using a structured project management framework. You will handle projects varying in size and complexity, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and budget. Reporting directly to the Founder and Principal Consultant, you will receive mentorship and support throughout your role.


Key Responsibilities

  • Facilitate the definition of project scope, governance, goals, objectives, deliverables, budget, timelines, assumptions, constraints, and risks.
  • Develop comprehensive project plans, including measures of success, schedules, staffing plans, budgets, quality standards, communication plans, risk management strategies, and procurement plans.
  • Secure and manage project resources, including personnel, budgets, equipment, and tools.
  • Manage and report on the implementation of project plans, ensuring all aspects align with the defined scope and objectives.
  • Validate the acceptance of project deliverables, ensuring they meet client expectations and project standards.
  • Ensure operational readiness by coordinating with stakeholders and ensuring all necessary preparations are complete.
  • Monitor and report on project and team performance against plans, taking effective corrective action as required to keep the project on track.
  • Ensure compliance with project management standards through periodic audits, coaching, and mentoring.
  • Identify root causes for any variances from project parameters, such as schedule, budget, or scope, and efficiently resolve or escalate issues as needed.


Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Project Management, or a related field (equivalencies related to education and work experience will be considered).
  • 5+ years of experience in project management, preferably in an IT or professional services environment.
  • Strong organizational skills, with a keen attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Excellent facilitation and communication skills, capable of conveying ideas, recommendations, and decisions clearly and concisely to diverse stakeholder groups.
  • A proactive, self-motivated approach, with the ability to work independently and with minimal supervision.
  • Familiarity with change management and/or design thinking principles is an asset.
  • Project management certifications or designations are considered an asset.
