Position Overview
The Aftermarket Controls Specialist is a highly skilled and experienced technician responsible for fostering long-term customer relationships through exemplary service. Key responsibilities include providing customer support and training, both onsite and remotely, as well as managing project warranties and technical assistance.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the Aftermarket Sales and Service Manager to oversee warranty and service operations for custom automation and robotics clients.
- Address customer service needs promptly, including after-hours support.
- Work with the Aftermarket Sales and Service Manager to identify customer account leads and opportunities for revenue growth.
- Assist in developing technical solutions and proposals for clients.
- Provide both remote and onsite technical support for control systems.
- Coordinate with various departments to ensure a seamless service experience for customers.
- Offer technical support via phone and remote access, scheduling service resources as needed.
- Design and implement customer training programs, delivering technical training sessions.
- Occasionally support systems controls teams with PLC, HMI, and robotics expertise.
- Travel to customer sites for system commissioning and support.
Required Qualifications
- 3 to 5 years of experience leading a controls team in the automation sector is advantageous.
- 3 to 5 years of hands-on experience with PLC, HMI, and robotics in material handling and automation.
- Proficient in PLC, HMI, and robotic control system design and troubleshooting.
- Strong interpersonal skills for effective collaboration and leadership.
- Comprehensive knowledge of industry-related capital equipment and systems, particularly in automation and robotics.
- Proven leadership experience with mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and electronic systems.
- Strong computer skills, including the ability to interpret complex blueprints and AutoCAD drawings.
- Creative and innovative problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent organizational skills and the capacity to analyze complex issues.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Willingness to travel at least 50% of the time.

Salary range: $85,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
