About the Role

As a Branch Manager at Meridian Credit Union Ltd, you will be responsible for leading a team of financial services professionals to deliver exceptional Member experiences and drive business growth. This role requires a strong understanding of branch operations, lending, deposits, investments, wealth, small business, and Member Experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Guidance: Provide strategic direction and guidance to the branch team to achieve business objectives and deliver exceptional Member experiences.
  • Business Development: Identify and pursue business opportunities to drive growth and expand Meridian's local market share.
  • Member Experience: Foster and promote Meridian's Member Experience strategies, recognizing and rewarding phenomenal service in action.
  • Employee Experience: Unleash the ability of each person through coaching to improve performance, solve problems, and grow careers.
  • Strategic Initiatives: Lead branch activities in support of expanding the Member relationship and growing share of wallet.
  • Operations: Maintain all risk controls and audit functions to ensure the branch is aligned with policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Experience: At least 5-7 years of retail banking experience, with superior knowledge of all lending and investment products.
  • Leadership Experience: Previous or current leadership experience as a Retail Banking Assistant Branch Manager, or Branch Manager is preferred.
  • Education: Post-secondary education in Finance or Business Administration or related field.
  • Skills and Abilities: Exceptional negotiation, interpersonal, written, and oral communications skills; ability to adapt and prioritize; plan workload in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
