Housing Support Specialist

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Housing Support Specialist to join our team at Connective. As a key member of our community, you will play a vital role in providing support and guidance to individuals living semi-independently.
Key Responsibilities- Evaluate client needs and develop short-term plans to meet such needs with the active participation of clients and their families.
- Support clients to function independently in their own homes and in the community by assisting with life skills development and/or behaviour management.
- Work directly with community service providers, government and non-government organizations, and First Nations service providers to develop and implement individual support plans consistent with harm reduction and Connective philosophies and practices.
- Participate in team meetings and corporate initiatives, engage in ongoing team planning and quality improvement activities, participate in maintaining a healthy environment for clients and team, and perform a variety of clerical duties as required.
- A Diploma in Social Services and one year of related experience is preferred; in-house training can be provided for the right candidate.
- Ability to complete general housekeeping duties.
- Valid driver's license.
- Proof of Covid-19 Vaccination.
- Competitive hourly rate of $23.
