About the Role

The Regional District of Kootenay Boundary is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Retrofit Program Coordinator to support the implementation of our low carbon resilient retrofit program. This is a 2-year contract position designed to improve the energy efficiency, climate-resiliency, and climate preparedness of homes in the Regional District.

As a member of the Environmental Services team, the successful candidate will be a key point of contact and support for residents through their energy and resiliency retrofit journey. They will ensure that residents are aware of the services, systems, and supports available to them, help connect them with information, resources, and assessments, and provide guidance on available upgrades.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement program strategies to promote energy conservation and climate resilience in the home
  • Provide excellent customer service to residents, responding to inquiries and concerns related to the retrofit program
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure program goals and objectives are met
  • Develop and maintain relationships with external partners and stakeholders to support program delivery
  • Conduct community outreach and engagement activities to promote the retrofit program
Requirements
  • 3-5 years' experience in climate resilience and energy initiatives, project coordination, and customer service
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Considerable experience in program development and implementation
  • Experience coordinating and managing projects
  • Valid BC Class 5 Driver's License
