About the Role

The Regional District of Kootenay Boundary is seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to fill the position of Retrofit Program Coordinator. This is a 2-year contract position that will play a key role in supporting the implementation of our low carbon resilient retrofit program.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve energy efficiency and climate resilience in homes throughout the Regional District.
  • Provide expert guidance and support to residents on energy conservation and climate action initiatives.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and address energy efficiency and climate resilience needs in the community.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with local businesses and organizations to promote the retrofit program.
  • Conduct energy audits and assessments to identify opportunities for energy efficiency improvements.
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive plan to promote the retrofit program and engage with the community.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in a relevant field such as energy, climate action, building science, environmental science, or engineering.
  • 3-5 years of experience in climate resilience and energy initiatives, project coordination, and customer service.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Considerable experience in program development and implementation.
  • Valid BC Class 5 Driver's License.
