The Regional District of Kootenay Boundary is seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to fill the position of Retrofit Program Coordinator. This is a 2-year contract position that will play a key role in supporting the implementation of our low carbon resilient retrofit program.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement strategies to improve energy efficiency and climate resilience in homes throughout the Regional District.
- Provide expert guidance and support to residents on energy conservation and climate action initiatives.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and address energy efficiency and climate resilience needs in the community.
- Develop and maintain relationships with local businesses and organizations to promote the retrofit program.
- Conduct energy audits and assessments to identify opportunities for energy efficiency improvements.
- Develop and implement a comprehensive plan to promote the retrofit program and engage with the community.
- Master's degree in a relevant field such as energy, climate action, building science, environmental science, or engineering.
- 3-5 years of experience in climate resilience and energy initiatives, project coordination, and customer service.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Considerable experience in program development and implementation.
- Valid BC Class 5 Driver's License.
