About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Kitchen Helper to join our team at Palladium Family Restaurant. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our food service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Cleaning and Sanitation: Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, utensils, and work surfaces to maintain a high level of hygiene and food safety.
  • Dishwashing: Operate dishwashers to wash and sanitize dishes, glassware, and flatware, and manually wash and sanitize items as needed.
  • Food Preparation: Prepare, heat, and finish simple food items, such as soups, salads, and sandwiches.
  • Inventory Management: Receive, unpack, and store supplies in refrigerators, freezers, cupboards, and other storage areas.
  • Waste Management: Remove kitchen garbage and trash, and handle and store cleaning products.
  • Food Handling: Handle and store food products, including fruits and vegetables, and wash, peel, and cut them as needed.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, including dishwashers, refrigerators, and ovens.
  • Teamwork: Work collaboratively with other kitchen staff to ensure efficient and effective food service.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a kitchen or food service environment.
  • Language: English.
  • Work Hours: 40 hours per week.
