As a Multi-Unit Financing Solutions Manager, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the financial landscape for our clients and colleagues through your expertise in financing multi-unit real estate (6 units or more). In this position, you will serve as the credit authority, collaborating closely with account managers and both internal and external stakeholders.

The ideal candidate will have the flexibility to operate in various regions, including Montreal, South Shore, Laval, or Quebec City, based on their residence.

  • Execute thorough credit assessments in line with the standards established by the Credit Center, providing informed recommendations
  • Develop and structure credit applications (including agenda creation) by identifying risks and crafting financing solutions that cater to client requirements while adhering to the Bank's risk guidelines
  • Collaborate with the Multi-Residential Account Manager to identify construction or term financing needs
  • Negotiate credit terms and conditions with the Credit Centre and SCHL as necessary, in conjunction with the Account Manager
  • Gather insights from account managers on preliminary credit applications and adjust them as needed to align with the Bank's expectations regarding profitability, presentation quality, and risk evaluation
  • Assist in the preparation of documentation and the maintenance of files in partnership with account agents and the Credit Centre
  • Serve as a credit resource within the team, fostering the professional growth of team members.
  • Recognize the risks associated with the multi-residential real estate sector, particularly concerning construction loans and CMHC or conventional term loans
Your team:

Within the Real Estate Finance division, you will join a vibrant team of 12 professionals and report to the Associate Vice-President, Portfolio Management Team – Real Estate Finance Canada. Our team is distinguished by its energy and expertise in real estate financing. We operate in a hybrid model, requiring in-office attendance three days a week.

Our hands-on training programs are designed to enhance your skills. Tailored training content on topics such as term or construction mortgage analysis for various asset types is available to support your ongoing development. Basic requirements:

  • A bachelor's degree in a relevant field with six years of applicable experience OR a master's degree in a related discipline with four years of relevant experience OR an undergraduate university/PUB certificate with eight years of pertinent experience
  • Proven experience in SCHL multi-units credit for 6 units or more and construction loans
  • Proficiency in financial statement analysis
