SAIT's Athletic and Recreation department is a vital component of the SAIT experience, providing a range of programs and facilities to support active and healthy lifestyles for students, staff, alumni, and the public.

Job Summary

We are seeking enthusiastic and sport-minded individuals to join our team as Athletic and Recreation Coordinators. As a key member of our department, you will be responsible for supporting the development and delivery of sports programs, events, and services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the planning, coordination, and execution of sports programs, events, and services
  • Provide excellent customer service to students, staff, and the public
  • Support the development and implementation of marketing strategies to promote sports programs and events
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure effective communication and coordination
  • Contribute to the maintenance of a safe and inclusive environment for all participants

Requirements

  • Enthusiasm for sports and a passion for student athlete development
  • Ability to travel within the City of Calgary
  • Previous customer service experience
  • First Aid and CPR certification considered an asset
  • Respect in Sport certification considered an asset
  • Ability to deal tactfully with the public and student body
  • Ability to notice and report anything out of the ordinary that might result in loss or damage to property
  • Ability to follow oral and written instructions
  • Previous event experience
  • Knowledge of sport rules or officiating and/or scorekeeping experience
  • NCCP Registration and pursuit of sport-specific training
