About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Technical Team Manager to join our client's Chatter Research team in downtown Montreal. This is a permanent position, in hybrid mode.

As a Technical Team Manager, you will be responsible for leading and managing a team of software developers, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment. You will work closely with the sales and product teams to analyze customer needs and onboard new customers.

The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, with experience in software development and project management. They will be able to design and implement scalable and robust software solutions, and manage technical solutions for customers.

We are looking for a highly adaptable and motivated individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment where innovation and technology drive the creation of new solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage a team of software developers
  • Collaborate with the sales and product teams to analyze customer needs and onboard new customers
  • Design and implement scalable and robust software solutions
  • Manage technical solutions for customers
  • Oversee project schedules, deliverables, and ensure projects are completed on time and on budget
Requirements
  • Technical Expertise: Strong technical background with experience in software development
  • Leadership skills: Proven experience in leading and managing a software development team
  • Project management: Strong project management skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Customer-facing experience: Excellent communication skills and experience in a customer-facing technical role
  • Solutions architecture: Experience in designing and implementing software solutions
  • Problem-solving skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Adaptability: Comfortable in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of Telco infrastructure: Understanding of telecom infrastructure from an ISV perspective
  • Experience of Agile methodologies: Familiarity with Agile development practices
Your Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in software engineering, computer science, or equivalent
  • More than 7 years' experience in software development
  • Solid knowledge of object-oriented software design principles
  • Strong interest in artificial intelligence and its applications. Knowledge of generative AI development
  • Experience with Python and Django
  • Experience with relational databases
  • Strong problem-solving skills and intellectual curiosity
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Ability to work in the office 45 days a week
Assets
  • Good knowledge of Ruby on Rails is a plus
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure
  • Knowledge of containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
  • Knowledge of Big Data and data engineering frameworks: Apache Beam, Google Cloud Data Flow, Google Big Query
  • Basic knowledge of telecommunications architecture and concepts. Experience of Twilio APIs
  • Knowledge of customer service and customer experience in the retail sector
