Key Responsibilities

  • Interpret blueprints and specifications to establish work layout
  • Unload and organize steel units for hoisting
  • Construct scaffolding and hoisting apparatus
  • Assemble rigging for transporting heavy materials
  • Position and align steel components
  • Verify alignments and connect steel elements
  • Construct pre-fabricated structures
  • Install reinforcing steel within concrete forms
  • Fit structural metalwork
  • Unload and set up pre-cast elements

Minimum Qualifications

  • Journeyperson Certification and/or Interprovincial Red Seal
  • Successful completion of a Pre-Access Drug and Alcohol Test
