Job Summary

Agnico Eagle is seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Supervisor to join our Maintenance Department. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing the mechanical maintenance area, ensuring that work is performed safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate the mechanical crew to ensure work is completed correctly, safely, and on time with minimal impact on mine productivity.
  • Oversee the work of Millwrights responsible for hoists, loading pockets, pumping systems, compressors, rock breakers, and other equipment.
  • Hold regular safety and communication meetings with the crew to promote a safe and healthy work environment.
  • Support and direct lead hands in crew lineups and ensure they are trained to work safely and productively.
  • Inspect work to identify training needs and ensure crews are equipped to perform tasks effectively.
  • Supervise and manage performance in line with set KPIs, including planned and responsive maintenance and shutdowns.
  • Ensure production and maintenance KPIs are achieved, including availability, throughput, schedule compliance, and costs.
  • Motivate and instruct crew members when possible and review and sign off work orders in SAP/CMMS.
  • Communicate with other departments to plan and schedule maintenance work and assist in revising programs, procedures, parts, and systems.

Requirements

  • Certified Millwright with 5 years of work experience, preferably in mine hoist plants.
  • Supervisor and Underground Common Core Modules.
  • Working knowledge of CCMs program, SAP, and other relevant software.
  • Joint Health and Safety training.
  • Previous leadership experience is considered an asset.
  • Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite applications, especially Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
