Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team at RhynoCare. As a key member of our nursing staff, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and contributing to a positive and supportive work environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide Nursing Care: Deliver exceptional nursing care to residents, adhering to established policies, physician's orders, and the resident plan of care.
  • Assess and Plan Care: Conduct thorough assessments to identify resident needs, develop and implement individualized care plans, and evaluate the effectiveness of care.
  • Coordinate Transfers and Discharges: Ensure timely and safe transfers and discharges of residents, maintaining accurate records and communicating with relevant parties.
  • Manage Medications and Supplies: Safeguard and control medications and narcotics, adhering to protocols and procedures.
  • Collaborate with Colleagues: Work effectively with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care delivery and maintain a positive team dynamic.
Requirements:
  • Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN) or equivalent.
  • Registration and Certification: Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the College of Nurses and Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification.
  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Strong written and verbal English communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with residents, families, and colleagues.
  • Knowledge and Skills: Familiarity with relevant legislation, regulations, and standards, including the Long Term Care Act, Program Standards for Long Term Care, and the College of Nurses of Ontario Standards of Practice.
  • Clearance and Screening: Medical clearance, including TB tests, Vulnerable Sector Police Check, Adult Abuse Registry Check, and a Clear Criminal Record check.
