As a key member of the McMaster University team, the Parking Control Officer will provide exceptional customer service and support to the campus community and visitors. This role requires a strong understanding of parking regulations and the ability to effectively communicate with customers, while maintaining a high level of professionalism and integrity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide front-line customer service and assistance with parking inquiries, ensuring a positive experience for all customers.
  • Address and resolve customer concerns in a fair and timely manner, adhering to Parking Services regulations.
  • Support the operation and maintenance of the parking automation system, ensuring seamless functionality and minimal disruptions.
  • Collaborate with the parking team to achieve operational excellence and maintain a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Monitor parking lots and automation equipment, identifying and reporting any deficiencies or issues to the Shift Leader.
  • Assist with the collection of revenue from pay stations and pay-by-plate meters, ensuring accurate and efficient transactions.
  • Provide education and guidance to cyclists on proper storage locations for bicycles, promoting a safe and respectful parking environment.

Requirements:

  • 1 year of customer service experience, with a strong focus on providing exceptional service and resolving customer complaints.
  • Valid Class G Driver's License, with a clean driving record.
