Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Food and Beverage Supervisor to join our team at Marriott International. As a key member of our hospitality team, you will be responsible for ensuring that our guests receive exceptional service and that our staff is working together as a cohesive unit to achieve this goal.

Key Responsibilities

  • Inspect and maintain the cleanliness and organization of storage areas, ensuring that all supplies are properly stored and that the use of FIFO is adhered to.
  • Complete scheduled inventories and stock necessary supplies, requisitioning items as needed.
  • Monitor dining rooms for seating availability, service, safety, and the well-being of guests, completing work orders for maintenance repairs as necessary.
  • Assist management in hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, counseling, disciplining, and motivating and coaching employees, serving as a role model and first point of contact for the Guarantee of Fair Treatment/Open Door Policy process.
  • Follow all company and safety and security policies and procedures, reporting accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to management and completing safety training and certifications as required.
  • Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional, maintaining confidentiality of proprietary information and protecting company assets.
  • Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards, anticipating and addressing their service needs, assisting individuals with disabilities, and thanking guests with genuine appreciation.
  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others, supporting the team to reach common goals and listening and responding appropriately to the concerns of other employees.
  • Ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards, identifying, recommending, developing, and implementing new ways to increase organizational efficiency, productivity, quality, safety, and/or cost-savings.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • At least 2 years of related work experience required.
  • At least 1 year of supervisory experience required.
  • License or certification not required.
