The Opportunity

We're seeking an experienced Assistant Store Manager to join our team at our Ottawa store location. As a key member of our retail leadership team, you will be responsible for building, leading, and developing a high-performing team of associates to deliver exceptional customer experiences and drive business results.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coach and develop your team to deliver outstanding customer service and drive sales growth
  • Manage business aspects of the store, including P&L ownership and sales planning
  • Support the store manager with hiring, training, and developing a high-performing team
  • Open and close the store, ensuring it meets Knix standards
  • Report on daily store targets and provide insights to drive business decisions
  • Stay knowledgeable on our growing product assortment and ensure effective merchandising to drive sales
  • Handle customer issues and opportunities accurately and confidently
  • Continually work to improve cleanliness, setup, and organization in all areas of the store

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a retail lead/management role with a similar team size and store volume
  • Ability to lead a team to drive business results and deliver excellence in customer experience
  • Proven experience recruiting, developing, and retaining a high-performing team consistently meeting and exceeding store KPIs
  • Experience planning and executing community events is an asset
  • Open availability to ensure business needs are met, including evenings, weekends, and holidays

Eligibility Requirements

  • Must have the necessary work authorization to be legally employed in Canada and be 18 years of age or older
  • Ability to lift and handle packages weighing up to 25lbs
  • Ability to move efficiently through the store for long periods of time and as needed for an entire shift
