Overview: The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) will spearhead the strategic direction and operational management of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Wood Buffalo, a prominent non-profit organization dedicated to empowering youth through mentoring.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement a strategic vision that aligns with the mission of the organization, ensuring that all programs and initiatives are effectively executed.
  • Operational Oversight: Manage daily operations, ensuring compliance with relevant policies and regulations while maintaining high standards of program quality.
  • Financial Stewardship: Oversee the organization’s financial health, including budget preparation, financial reporting, and resource allocation to ensure sustainability.
  • Community Engagement: Act as the primary representative of the organization, fostering relationships with community partners, stakeholders, and donors to enhance the organization’s profile and impact.
  • Team Development: Lead, mentor, and inspire a diverse team of staff and volunteers, promoting a culture of collaboration, inclusivity, and accountability.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years in a senior leadership role within the non-profit sector.
  • Proven experience in strategic planning, fundraising, and community engagement.
  • Strong financial acumen and experience in budget management.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion in all aspects of the organization.

Work Environment: This position requires flexibility in schedule, including occasional evenings and weekends. A valid driver’s license is necessary for job-related duties.
