Job Title: Nurse Practitioner
Position Overview

The Nurse Practitioner serves as a key healthcare provider, delivering comprehensive primary care services to residents within the established legislative framework.

Key Responsibilities
  • Actively engages with residents, their families, and the healthcare team to formulate effective care plans.
  • Provides guidance and mentorship to the long-term care home staff, fostering a collaborative environment.
  • Ensures the delivery of high-quality, resident-centered care, maintaining rigorous standards.
  • Advocates for the nursing division, suggesting enhancements for resource utilization.
Compensation and Benefits
  • Location: Walkerton, ON
  • Status: Contract - 18 Months
  • Salary: $118,646 - $139,577 annually
  • Hours: Based on a 35-hour work week, Monday - Friday 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM
  • Benefits: OMERS Pension, Employee Assistance Program, Discounts, $1000 Signing Bonus
Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Nursing or Geriatrics.
  • Valid Certificate of Competence as a Nurse Practitioner in Ontario.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in a Nurse Practitioner role.
  • At least 1 year of supervisory experience in geriatric, rehabilitation, or long-term care settings.
  • Outstanding documentation and communication abilities.
  • Proven leadership and time management skills.
  • Clear Vulnerable Sector Check and TB 2 Step Skin Test.
