Position Overview
The Nurse Practitioner serves as a key healthcare provider, delivering comprehensive primary care services to residents within the established legislative framework.
Key Responsibilities- Actively engages with residents, their families, and the healthcare team to formulate effective care plans.
- Provides guidance and mentorship to the long-term care home staff, fostering a collaborative environment.
- Ensures the delivery of high-quality, resident-centered care, maintaining rigorous standards.
- Advocates for the nursing division, suggesting enhancements for resource utilization.
- Location: Walkerton, ON
- Status: Contract - 18 Months
- Salary: $118,646 - $139,577 annually
- Hours: Based on a 35-hour work week, Monday - Friday 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM
- Benefits: OMERS Pension, Employee Assistance Program, Discounts, $1000 Signing Bonus
- Master's degree in Nursing or Geriatrics.
- Valid Certificate of Competence as a Nurse Practitioner in Ontario.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in a Nurse Practitioner role.
- At least 1 year of supervisory experience in geriatric, rehabilitation, or long-term care settings.
- Outstanding documentation and communication abilities.
- Proven leadership and time management skills.
- Clear Vulnerable Sector Check and TB 2 Step Skin Test.
