About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Foreman to join our team at CKB Construction. As a Foreman, you will play a critical role in ensuring the successful completion of our projects, working closely with our project management team to deliver high-quality results.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and mentor a team of up to 15 people, providing guidance and support to ensure project specifications are met.
- Conduct daily field documentation, including toolbox meetings, JHA reviews, and weekly job site and equipment inspections.
- Coordinate and track manpower, materials, and equipment, and assist in the operation and maintenance of heavy equipment.
- Enforce company policies and procedures, and report any changes to scope or safety incidents to the supervisor immediately.
- Collaborate with project management to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of experience in earthworks, with a strong background in roadworks, highways, and subdivisions.
- Experience in projects involving stormwater management, culvert installation, and drainage improvements.
- CSTS 2020, WHMIS 2015, LSE, First Aid, and Ground Disturbance Level 2 certifications.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a strong focus on safety and quality.
Working Conditions
Candidates will be working outside in all weather conditions, with the ability to spend long periods of time on their feet. A willingness to commit to 50+ hours per week at various locations within Alberta is required.
