Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Foreman/Forewoman to join our team at Golderado Contracting Corp. As a key member of our underground utilities team, you will be responsible for overseeing the safe and efficient execution of underground infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with Superintendents, Project Managers, and sub-contractors to promote a culture of safety and excellence.
  • Lead and participate in weekly safety meetings and toolbox talks to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Conduct pre-operational checks on equipment, secure special attachments, and operate two-way radios and other communication equipment.
  • Supervise workers and coach them to higher safety culture and productivity.
  • Ensure that all quality documents are being signed off and receive and sign permits for work inside live operating plants.
  • Coordinate survey crews and interpret grade stakes.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of five years of experience in equipment operation and a heavy equipment operator certificate or equivalent.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in a supervisory role or equivalent.
  • A valid driver's license with an insurable driver's abstract and a CSTS-09 or SCOT certification.
  • Ability to quickly identify problem situations, evaluate alternative causes, and produce workable solutions.
  • Experience in road construction, civil, earthworks, and/or water and sewer.
  • Leadership for Safety Excellence (LSE) proficiency level certified.
  • Reliable means of transportation and proficient English language skills.

Education: Completion of high school or equivalent is required.
