About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Minister of Faith and Community to join our team at the Community Church of Christ. As a key member of our community, you will play a vital role in leading our congregation and providing spiritual guidance and support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct Inspiring Services: Lead worship services, sermons, and other spiritual events that promote community engagement and spiritual growth.
  • Supervise and Support Staff: Oversee the work of office and volunteer staff, providing guidance and support to ensure the smooth operation of our community.
  • Administer Rites and Ceremonies: Perform marriages, funerals, and other rites of faith with dignity and compassion.
  • Provide Spiritual Guidance: Offer counseling and guidance to members of our community, helping them navigate life's challenges and spiritual journeys.
  • Develop and Implement Programs: Plan and administer programs of religious education, community outreach, and social services that promote the well-being of our community.
  • Represent the Church: Serve as a representative of our church in humanitarian endeavors, social services, and welfare activities, promoting our values and mission.
  • Consult with External Partners: Provide consultation services to government and other organizations, fostering partnerships and collaborations that benefit our community.
  • Lead by Example: Demonstrate a strong commitment to our church's values and mission, inspiring others to do the same.
Requirements
  • Experience: 3-4 years of experience in a similar role, with a strong background in spiritual leadership and community development.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as theology, divinity, or a related field.
  • Security and Safety: Must undergo a Child Abuse Registry check, Child welfare check, and Adult Abuse Registry check.
  • Work Conditions: Ability to work in a combination of sitting, standing, and walking environments.
  • Language: Fluency in English, with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse groups.
