Position Overview

Sunny Bray Veterinary Services Ltd. is seeking a dedicated Veterinary Assistant to join our compassionate team. This role is essential in providing exceptional care to animals and supporting our veterinary professionals.

Qualifications
  • Education: Completion of a College or CEGEP program.
  • Experience: 1 to 2 years in a similar role.
Work Environment

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the handling, restraint, and care of animals during treatment and surgical procedures.
  • Support veterinarians before, during, and after surgical interventions.
  • Prepare and administer medications and vaccines as directed by the veterinarian.
  • Implement treatment plans as prescribed by the veterinarian.
  • Provide guidance to clients regarding animal health care.
  • Perform routine dental procedures and assist in animal dentistry.
  • Deliver nursing care and rehabilitation therapy for animals.
  • Administer wound care and bandaging as needed.
Travel Information

Travel expenses will be covered by the employer.

  • Ability to perform manual tasks with dexterity.
  • Strong attention to detail and hand-eye coordination.
  • Capacity to work in a fast-paced environment, standing for extended periods.
  • Willingness to engage in a combination of sitting, standing, and walking.
