About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Veterinary Assistant to join our team at Sunny Bray Veterinary Services Ltd. As a key member of our animal care team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the health and well-being of our furry patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Animal Care and Handling: Assist veterinarians with animal examinations, treatments, and surgeries, ensuring the highest level of care and compassion for our patients.
  • Medication Administration: Prepare and administer medications and vaccines under the direction of our veterinarians, maintaining accurate records and ensuring patient safety.
  • Client Communication: Provide exceptional client service, educating pet owners on animal health care and addressing their concerns with empathy and professionalism.
  • Office Management: Perform various administrative tasks, including data entry, scheduling, and maintaining accurate records, ensuring the smooth operation of our clinic.
  • Transportation and Travel: Assist with transporting animals to and from our clinic, ensuring their safety and comfort during travel.
Requirements
  • Education: Completion of a veterinary assistance program or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: 1-2 years of experience in a veterinary setting, with a strong understanding of animal behavior and handling.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 pounds, and work in a physically demanding environment.
