Responsibilities
  • Animal Care and Handling
    • Assist veterinarians with animal examinations, treatments, and surgeries
    • Provide nursing care and rehabilitation therapy for animals

  • Client Communication
    • Counsel clients on animal health care and provide education on animal behavior and nutrition

Requirements
  • Education
    • High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education in a related field an asset
  • Experience
    • 1-2 years of experience in a veterinary clinic or animal care setting
  • Skills
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
    • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
    • Physical stamina to lift and move animals, as well as stand for extended periods
