Job Title: Corporate Tax Lead

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive the adoption of advanced tax technologies, including AI tools and process automation.
  • Oversee daily tax compliance activities across various tax categories, particularly focusing on UK Corporation Tax submissions.
  • Collaborate with the Head of Tax Reporting during the financial reporting cycle.
  • Cultivate a comprehensive understanding of the business and Finance Operations to enhance tax compliance collaboration.
  • Assist in the compliance processes related to Global Minimum Tax.
  • Foster a mindset of continuous improvement in tax operations and processes, especially concerning Tax Technology.
  • Monitor and review tax compliance filing and payment responsibilities.
  • Support the implementation and modification of tax compliance processes.
  • Ensure adherence to tax governance standards.
  • Actively engage in Continuous Professional Development (CPD) to maintain a broad range of technical and soft skills.
  • Assist in the Senior Accounting Officer certification across various tax categories.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Strong expertise in tax compliance across multiple tax types, with a solid understanding of filing and payment obligations.
  • Experience in leveraging technology to enhance operational processes.
  • Background in tax reporting in accordance with IFRS standards.
  • Proficient in engaging with tax authorities and senior stakeholders.
  • Experience in an in-house tax department or a professional tax services firm.
  • Established external tax network to stay informed as a leading advisor.

About the Tax Team:

Reporting to a Senior Tax Manager, the Corporate Tax Lead plays a crucial role within the tax team and the wider organization. You will operate within the Tax Capability Centre as a tax generalist, focusing on UK corporation tax while also managing international corporation tax, RDEC, UK and overseas VAT, and customs activities. Your role will involve contributing to process enhancements as part of a broader finance modernization initiative and adapting to significant changes in the tax environment.
