Overview:

The Finance Division of SGS Société Générale de Surveillance SA is in search of a Financial Analysis and Planning Expert with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience to enhance the FP&A team for Global Market Operations. This position involves meticulous monitoring and evaluation of the daily Profit and Loss (P&L) statements related to Market Operations, delivering insights on Risk-Weighted Asset (RWA) usage, and ensuring precise financial reporting. Your role will be pivotal in upholding the financial integrity and growth potential of the organization.

Main Duties:

  • Daily P&L Analysis of Market Operations
    • Aggregate and relay daily outcomes to executive management
    • Engage with stakeholders to comprehend business dynamics and challenges
  • RWA Oversight and Evaluation
    • Monitor and assess RWA discrepancies
    • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure data accuracy
    • Stay informed on regulatory developments affecting RWA reporting
  • Financial Reporting
    • Assist in the preparation of financial statements and variance assessments
    • Develop insightful presentations for executive management
  • Budgeting and Forecasting
    • Support the annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting initiatives
    • Collaborate with department leaders for financial outlooks
  • Data Accuracy and Analysis
    • Ensure the integrity of financial data within relevant systems
    • Conduct thorough data analysis to identify discrepancies and trends
  • Ad hoc Financial Projects
    • Engage in special financial projects to derive business insights
    • Create financial models for scenario analysis
  • Process Enhancement
    • Refine FP&A processes and tools for improved efficiency
    • Implement enhancements to reporting formats and data collection methods
Qualifications

Required Skills and Experience:

At least 5 years of financial analysis experience within the financial services sector.

Educational Background:

Strong grasp of financial principles and analytical techniques.

Exceptional communication skills and meticulous attention to detail.

Familiarity with banking regulations and financial standards.

Technical Proficiencies:

Expertise in financial modeling and data analysis using Excel.

Experience with Business Intelligence tools such as PowerBI or Tableau.

Knowledge of financial systems and software like Essbase and Cognos.

Language Proficiency:

Fluency in English is essential for collaboration with international teams.
