About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Tax Analyst to join our US Corporate Tax team at Grant Thornton. As a Senior Tax Analyst, you will play a key role in preparing U.S. corporate federal and state tax returns, researching U.S. tax issues, and providing exceptional client service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare U.S. corporate federal and state tax returns, ensuring accuracy and compliance with tax regulations.
  • Conduct research on U.S. tax issues, staying up-to-date with changes in tax laws and regulations.
  • Prepare file memoranda and client correspondence, communicating complex tax information in a clear and concise manner.
  • Proactively resolve tax-related issues with clients and other staff members, providing timely and effective solutions.
  • Identify and develop new opportunities for additional tax services, driving business growth and revenue.
  • Provide exceptional client service, building strong relationships with clients and internal stakeholders.
Requirements
  • Accounting diploma or certificate, with an accounting designation considered an asset.
  • 2-3 years of experience in public practice, preferably in personal tax compliance.
  • Strong technical knowledge in accounting and U.S. tax compliance, with a commitment to staying up-to-date with industry developments.
  • Excellent organizational and prioritizing skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong commitment to excellence and attention to detail, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills, with a strong working knowledge of MS Office suite and ability to grasp new technology tools.
