Senior Tax Analyst

Horizon Recruitment Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Senior Analyst, Corporate Tax to join our client's global team. As a key member of the tax department, you will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely tax provision information for financial statement reporting purposes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and review tax provision calculations, financial statement note disclosures, and supporting documentation.
- Communicate and coordinate with foreign subsidiary tax personnel and external consultants to resolve tax issues.
- Prepare and submit tax returns, including T106 and T1134, and other compliance filings.
- Respond to requests from external financial statement auditors and internal audit teams.
- Provide support for capitalizations to or distributions from subsidiaries and prepare contemporaneous updates to ACB and/or surplus calculations.
- Monitor intercompany balances and identify issues for resolution.
- Support the preparation of the budget for global tax payments and track actual payments.
Requirements:
- Enrolled in the CPA In-depth Tax Course.
- 4-5 years' experience in a public or industry tax practice environment.
- Strong tax accounting skills, preferably within a public accounting firm handling provision calculations for large multinational clients or within a multinational corporation preparing the tax provision.
- Self-starter with excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Excellent knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
