Senior Tax Analyst

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Tax Analyst to join our team at Marmalade Recruitment & Resources Inc. in Vancouver. As a Senior Tax Analyst, you will play a crucial role in enhancing our financial strategy through expert management of tax provisions and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:- Tax Provision and Compliance Management: Prepare and oversee monthly, quarterly, and yearly tax provisions, financial disclosures, and supporting documentation. Ensure compliance with international tax filing requirements, addressing queries from tax authorities and coordinating tax matters with global subsidiaries and consultants.
- Audit and Reporting: Respond to internal and external audit requests, manage Canadian and international tax compliance filings, and engage in various ad-hoc tax projects. Support the finance and accounting teams by providing necessary tax information and calculations for financial disclosures and reporting.
- Financial Analysis and Strategy: Assist in the budgeting process for global tax payments, monitor intercompany balances, and manage updates to subsidiary capitalizations and surplus calculations. Provide strategic tax insights to optimize financial performance and compliance.
- CPA designation and enrollment in the CPA In-depth Tax Course.
- 4-5 years of experience in tax practice, preferably within a multinational corporation or public accounting firm.
- Extensive knowledge of tax accounting and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
- Exceptional analytical and organizational skills, capable of managing multiple priorities.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Willingness for occasional international travel.
