We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Shipping and Receiving Coordinator to join our team at 957000 ALBERTA LTD O/A ALL INDIA GROCERY. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth flow of goods in and out of our warehouse.
Key Responsibilities- Determine Shipping Methods: Research and select the most efficient shipping methods for our products, taking into account factors such as cost, speed, and reliability.
- Schedule Distribution: Plan and coordinate the distribution of goods to our customers, ensuring timely delivery and minimizing delays.
- Prepare Shipping Documents: Accurately prepare bills of lading, invoices, and other shipping documents, ensuring all necessary information is included.
- Inspect and Verify Goods: Inspect incoming goods against invoices and other documents, identifying any discrepancies or damage.
- Maintain Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of shipments, inventory, and other relevant data.
- Route Goods: Route goods to the appropriate storage areas, ensuring efficient use of warehouse space.
- Pack and Unpack Goods: Pack goods for shipment and unpack goods received, ensuring they are properly labeled and stored.
- Oversee Loading and Unloading: Supervise the loading and unloading of goods, ensuring they are handled safely and efficiently.
- Supervise Material Handlers: Supervise material handlers and helpers, providing guidance and support as needed.
- Process Payments: Process payments for goods, ensuring accurate and timely payment.
- Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma is required for this position.
- Work Setting: This role is based in a retail/wholesale establishment/distribution centre.
- Personal Suitability: We are looking for a candidate with excellent client focus, efficient interpersonal skills, and a high level of organization and reliability.
- Experience: Willingness to train and learn is essential for this role.
