The Role

The Shipping and Receiving Clerk provides customer support and executes order processing for domestic and international shipping and receiving.

This is a hands-on position for an individual capable of executing processes and procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Acts as liaison between Order Management, Thermon affiliates, final customers, and Thermon departments.
  • Follows shipping and receiving documentation for accurate transactions.
  • Assists and provides guidance for shipping documentation, freight quotes, and other related tasks.
  • Prepares and gathers shipping documentation, including invoices, packing lists, test reports, and certificates of conformance.
  • Assists the Order Fulfillment Manager/Shipping/Receiving Supervisor with additional responsibilities as needed.
  • Complies with safety regulations and maintains clean and orderly work areas.
  • Performs company pick-ups and deliveries as required.
  • Assists with floor checks and loading of freight when necessary.
Requirements
  • More than 2 years' experience in order processing, including posting and shipping orders.
  • Forklift experience, preferably sit-down electric or propane, is a plus.
  • Clean driving abstract is an advantage.
  • Class 5 Alberta Driving License.
  • In-depth knowledge of domestic shipping terminology and shipping documentation.
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Proficient in communicating both orally and in writing.
  • Outstanding customer service skills.
  • Detailed-oriented.
  • Team player.
  • Ability to handle stressful situations and work in a diverse environment.
  • Ability to prioritize work and manage multiple projects to meet Thermon's performance objectives.
